On 1905, established Islamic Trading Union (Serikat Dagang Islam = SDI) formed by KH. Samanhudi, was one of batik merchant figure in Laweyan struggled to unite all moslem native batik merchant especially in Laweyan area againts Dutch colonization that was having stronger influence in Surakarta Royal Kingdom.

For the outstanding merit against Dutch Colonization, Soekarno, 1st President of RI gave a house to KH. Samanhudi and still using by his descendant. The house placed on western part of K.A. Henis Graveyard and eastern of SD Laweyan.
